I just got done watching season one US from Netflix. I then started watching the UK one on instant watch and am halfway through season one. Glad I watched them in that order because I do enjoy the US one better (so I am an American but onewho usually likes British TV). I think because it came second it eleborated much more on storylines. Simple math there as the UK season one was 7 shows where US was 12 or 13. Plus I like more of the actors on the US with a few exceptions where I like UK better. I don't think I would of understood some of what was happening in the UK one if I watched it firstas it goes so fast.

Anyways I don't have Showtime so I will have to wait until Season 2 US comes out on DVD. So here is my questions... should I wait to watch more of the UK until I have seen Season 2 US because they are so similar? I understand that the are intended to go different directions at some time but how different is Season 2 UK vs US? If they are too similar I would prefer to wait until I have seen the US but I am sure the earliest will be this fall before I can do that.

Any opinions people would like to share?

While there are similarities between the US and original UK versions. The shows diverge quite a bit after season 1. In the UK version, certain main characters leave, and new ones are introduced throughout the run of the series. I enjoy both of themimmensely, but having just finished the latest episode of the US version, they are two different shows with a shared name; sharing certaincharacters and tell different stories.
