  • Season 1 Episode 1: Pilot

  • According to Frank, Monica, his wife, left the family when the youngest (assuming Liam) was 2 months old and Fiona was 14 years old. Seeing that Liam is presently around 2 years old, Monica left about two years ago. This wouldn't make sense since Fiona is now 21 (age identified in the episode "Killer Carl").

  • Sheila is watching the public television program America's Test Kitchen during the tutoring session with Ian, Karen, and Lip.

  • In the UK series Liam is not half black he is a full blood relative to the Gallagher kids.

  • Fiona's gag of shaking down Frank doesn't translate too well; in Europe and England coins are used up to the 5 euro/pound denomination so the coins made sense in the UK series because a dozen coins could be used as the equivalent of $30 - $40 bucks. However, in the U.S. a dozen coins at best could only add up to $3. (The reason dollar coins aren't considered is because dollar bills are more popular than coins especially at bars, dollar coins are also more common for tolls and metro cards, and finally because the coins where clearly nickles and quarters.

  • Season 1 Episode 5: Three Boys

  • LIP's SAT service isn't present in the original UK series, only his homework services, but it isn't depicted until much later on in season 2.

  • Steve's high end car stealing ring is very much out of place in the U.S. version of the series. The reason it works in the original UK series is because it is an actual problem for high end car owners over there, cars are often professionally stolen, but immediately loaded on containers for shipment to Eastern Europe and Russia making recovery before export very difficult. In the U.S. though the amount of cars being stolen would immediately be noticed, also the cars shown thus far would have to be serviced and repaired by Steve's crew if we are to assume they are selling within the U.S. and have the means to disable tracking equipment within the cars. The reason the cars can't go to the dealer or be chopped up and have their parts used on other cars is because any part that is even slightly electronic will be tagged electronically with the single VIN the part will work with (i.e. a motorized side mirror tagged for VIN-X would not work with a car whose VIN is Z). The reason we assume Steve is selling within the U.S. is because he has his shop working on the cars which is completely unecessary if he's exporting - also driving them around is ill advised given he's in Chicago a place that is not dense enough with those specific cars to make him inconspicuos enough to drive around without worries (the BMW and Lexus being the 2 exceptions).

  • Season 1 Episode 6: Killer Carl

  • Goof: Steve's depiction of boosting a car is specifically impossible. The car he stole is a BMW 5-Series (F10 Chassis = 2010 & newer). Even if he could've opened the door as shown, the alarm can't be disarmed by cutting a single wire, especially not one that does not exist in that car, and finally all his efforts should've been in vain without the key or a cloned key making all the work shown unneccessary/unsuccessful.

  • Season 1 Episode 7: Frank Gallagher: Loving H...

  • The pool location Fiona and Steve have sex in, is the same as the one used in the movie Cruel Intentions.

  • The Meat truck robbery is originally part of the Season 2 Christmas Special in the UK series, but most of the story elements where dropped leaving it as an odd bit in this episode. The meat was originally on its way to be analyzed as part of a military game which lead to the quarantine or "Chatsworth council estate" of the neighborhood the Gallaghers lived in the UK series.

  • Donny Maguire, the UK version of Mickey Milkovich, is not gay in the series.

There was never any gun involved in the UK series, the events between Kash, Ian and Linda happen regardless.

  • Season 1 Episode 12: Father Frank, Full of Grace

  • Steve tells Fiona to meet him at O'Hare, but "Midway International Airport" it is clearly visible on the wall when he is shown waiting at the airport.

  • Season 2 Episode 4: A Beautiful Mess

  • In the original UK series Karen never gets pregnant -"Mandy Maguire" (the UK equivalent of Mandy Milkovich) was the one that becomes pregnant with Lip's child.

  • Season 4 Episode 12: Lazarus

  • Goof:  In the scene Fiona and Ms. Johnson are conversing in the car, at least a couple of shots show dialogue being said without either person actually talking.
