  • The Shark gets the chance to bite back...

    9.0
When Stark is given the chance at redemption (and earn some clout with the State's Attorny's office) you'd imagine he'd jump at the chance. He is recruited for an covert operation to nail the real killers behind the death of Sarah Belkin. So begins his journey of vengence to put away the criminal elements he worked for(previous episode). A great episode where Stark faces and confronts the demons of his past. Heavily themed with the personal confessions and penitence of our esteemed lawyer anti-hero, the script also provides Stark with the oppotunity for restitution to the victim's mother. As you can imagine all these factor provide a steady source of emotional drama across the story.

There is also alot of conflict throughout in substantial doses. As mentioned Stark confronts his inner demons, argue's with his (small) team and those members from his office he has kept in the dark, to protect them. The action packed element of drama comes from Michael Rooker's character: Oscar Riddick. He provides a real source of menance and augments the plausible threat provide by Bank's character in the previous episode. All these factors make for an excellent episode that never lets up. Screenplay fells a little jagged, but it doesn't detract from what is an enjoyable episode.

Notable scenes are Raina is given the chance to betray Stark by the DA, will she turn on Stark - seeing he is on the way down? While Rooker's Riddick just oozes real danger. All elements of this episode really come together well - hence the score.

A fantastic story which adds to the quality ending that this show enjoyed. But will Stark survive unscathed?

  • Finally!!!

    9.2
After all this time waiting it was great to finally have Shark to watch. It's one of the funniest tv series I watch and yesterday it was a great example of that. His conscience is getting stronger and stronger as he continues to try to amend his past mistakes. He did a great job, as usual, nailing the mass murderer and he got away from the charges. Of course that had to happen, otherwise it would be the end. Now, there's the suspense of where and how he will continue to do what he does best. Personally I can't wait to watch next week's episode!!
