  • KELLY MCGARRY...I'M GLAD YOU'RE BACK!!!

I love watching "Shark". But, this was my favorite episode. I was so excited to see Kelly McGarry again. She was my favorite actress on "I Wanna Be A Soap Star". She should have won. She is a talented actress that keeps you wanting more. Her portrayal of Hannah with no verbal script was absolutely incredible. You knew exactly what she was thinking and feeling. Her portrayal of Hannah showed that everyone has a secret. No one knows everything about someone else. This is so true to life. Kelly brought this out in her acting, although, no words were ever spoken.

She belongs on prime time. CBS...You were so lucky to cast her.moreless

  • This was a really really great episode with something new that I really enjoyed.

One thing that really caught my eye with this episode was the whole "In Absentia" court trial. I had never ever heard of it before or even new that it existed. I thought it was a really cool idea and I am glad that they threw it in the episode. However, I wish they would have done/showed at least part of the trial witht the "In Absentia".

I felt very sorry for Raina during the episode and especially at the end with the victim's mom. I am glad that even though it was an episode where Raina lost a good friend they didn't center the episode around her and Isaac. One episode a season of that is good enough for me.

Once again Madeline says another line that I loved. This time it was directed to Danny witht the "slut" comment. It made me laugh.

The whole part with Stark in Mexico was okay, but I felt that they should have given a little more air time to Jessica and Madeline.

    I really want a Madeline-centered episode!moreless

Stark slays them again in this high octane case of a murdered supermodel and his subsequent trip to Mexico. The case had the usual banter with Jessica but this time Reyes and a snafu over Hunan food. At any rate we got to see a lot of her which is always good. Stark and Reyes travel to Mexico to bring back the suspect and Reyes of course gets them thrown in jail. Poor guy guess he'll never escape the hot headed new guy image. The ending sequence with Stark and the gangsters bringing him back in the trunk of a car was fun to see. Good episode fun twist and turns and witty banter that we love.moreless

Not your usual episode format for this show. Thankly in terms of this seasons offerings. Just to see Shark out of his "natural waters" in Mexico is worth the watch.

The overriding theme of the episode is clear by the title, but its Shark's manipulation of the situation on two counts that provide the eyebrow raising scenes by first using the trial by absentia rule to his benefit and then, turning the tables on the legal beauracracy and know how it would be counted to get the result that he wanted.

His brief trip to Mexico with the unremarkable Reyes character is the highlight of the story for me. At last we get some decent usage out of the forlorn Reyes character.

Overall, a fun episode that does spark into life, despite an unfortunate lack of urgency throughout. Again I would say that the plot of this case also fails to flatter, and I came away with the feeling that other than to showcase this element of law there was not much in the way of adhesive to keep me watching. Though there was some character development, maybe enough to entertain you more than for me!moreless
