Karla Ballantine was the prosecution's star witness and had to give testimony in her husband's trial. However a wife cannot be forced to testify against her husband and the only way Karla Ballantine would have testified was if she had waived her spousal right and there is no indication that she did this.
Sebastian Stark: Oh, so you found me!
Jordan Westlake: Wasn't tough. I just asked for the biggest jerk in the biggest cabana.
Danny Reyes: This is all Stark's fault!
Madeleine Poe: Please you knew what you were getting into when you signed on.
Danny Reyes: Yeah, she's right. You swim with the sharks (Sebastian Stark calls) Speak of the devil!
Stark: You think anybody heard anything?
Duke Ballantine: You kidding? Brad sound-proofed this place. You could toss a grenade in here, the neighbors would sleep right through it.
Stark: That's the good news, here's the bad. There are no alibi witnesses, you knew the victim, and you are Duke Ballantine. D.A.'s gonna smell headlines.
Duke Ballantine: So I'm gonna get charged.
Stark: Like a platinum card.
Isaac: (about Ballantine) I'd love to kick this guy's ass.
Madeleine: Yeah, let's win the case first, and then I'll help you.
