  • He-man sneaks into the Fright Zone only to be captured by the Horde. Hordak hopes to use his Magnabeam to send the Whispering Woods and the Great Rebellion to the Valley of the Lost, and He-man must rely on Adora to come to her senses and rescue him.

She-ra finally makes her first appearance three episodes into the series, but it is worth the wait. Even though she doesn't appear until the last few minutes of the episode, the anticipation is great and the resulting action is exciting. It's a wonderful and memorable scene when the Sorceress explains to Adora who she really is and her relationship to He-man. Almost the entire episode takes place in the Fright Zone, so viewers get to see more of the Horde's main headquarters. Members of the Great Rebellion, and Cringer, are only seen for a few short minutes. Bow's salute to Adam as he heads off toward the Fright Zone is very cheesy, but I think this was done purposefully because Adam appears slightly embarassed by it. The first transformation scene and the first appearance of Swift Wind are fantastic. Absolutely no qualms about this episode.
