As Princess Adora is being reunited with her parents on Eternia, Hordak and Skeletor sneak into the palace and capture her. In a double-cross, Skeletor's men throw Hordak through the dimensional gateway back to Etheria, so Skeletor can take Adora for himself. He-Man goes with Man-At-Arms and Teela to rescue Adora, but He-Man finds that Adora has already rescued herself - as She-Ra.moreless

This is a great finale to the series first five-episode storyline. More of She-ra's powers are revealed; she has the ability to communicate with animals and to heal wounds.

A lot of story is packed into this episode. The first half takes place at Snake Mountain, where Hordak and Skeletor are holding Adora captive. Before He-man, Teela, and Man-at-Arms can arrive to rescue her, She-ra has already handled the job. Skeletor is quite perplexed, and his reaction is hilarious. The second half takes place on Etheria and features the Battle for Bright Moon. Every character is shown in action at one point or another.

There are some wonderful dramatic moments, as when Adora says goodbye to her parents and promises to return to Eternia one day. Also, the farewell between He-man and She-ra is a classic moment. He-man actually sheds a tear! The words "Farewell, He-man, dear brother!" are a wonderful conclusion to the story.moreless
