    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (3)

    • QUOTES (4)

      • Hordak: Come closer Mantenna.
        Mantenna: What?
Hordak: You heard me - Closer!
(Mantenna walks right up to Hordak on the Horde Symbol platfrom)
Mantenna: I'm glad we're not in your throne room because...
(Hordak pushes a button on his throne ejecting Mantenna out of the Tank)
        Hordak: Now that's funny.

      • (a swarm of Waspoids are advancing on She-Ra and Swift Wind)
        She-Ra: Let them come closer.
Swift Wind: Did you say "closer"?
        She-Ra: I did.
Swift Wind: That's what I thought you said...

      • (the entrance to the mine has just caved in)
Hordak: Let those rebels dig themselves out!
Mantenna: "Dig themselves out"? That's funny!
(Mantenna starts to laugh hysterically and Hordak gets angry)
Hordak: Oh, you think that's funny? Then why aren't I laughing?
Mantenna: Maybe because you didn't get it?

      • He-Man: I don't know how long I can keep up with these freeze rays! I wish Hordak would just give up and go home...

    • NOTES (2)

      • Hordak's transport in this episode is called the Command Crawler and would be reused as Entrapta's Trapper Tank in Season 2's "Romeo & Glimmer".

      • Out of all episodes of either series, this episode probably shows the most realistic portrayal of war. Here we see the full chaos and horror of totalitarian regimes, and Hordak is portrayed as a corrupt dictator rather than a comedy villain. This episode has an extremely powerful atmosphere and is a very popular episode among fans.
