Anyone who doesn't like this show doesn't understand this show. She Spies knows that it's campy, cheesy and utterly inane. The cheese is what makes it a great show. If you truly watch the show, the little odd jokes every few minutes are not at par with the Zucker brothers, but definietly does a great job aspiring to it.
All the inside and stupid jokes make it worth the campiness.
Cassie: Didn't we just stop a computer from uploading secret data last week?
Shane: Nah, week before that. (cuts power)
Mel: Oh no! It didn't finish uploading. It didn't send!
Cassie: Didn't that happen last week too?
I think the show tried to be funny and action packed like charmed but it is just stupid i have never seen it before today when i watched it on sci-fi channel!!! But i already hate it!!! The acting is terrible and done by a bunch acors from wild things 44 and species 34 i mean they are from crapp sequels that ruin originals!!! They try o be funny so that they can have a low budget like using a toy plain but it just looks dumb!!! The fightings rare and not very good story lines are as unoriginal as they come and personaly i would rather watch Gigli instead of another episode of this!! one more thing why did it last 2 seasons it should have been 2 episodes i mean good shows get cancelled quicker!!!!!!!!!
There's a sweet one, a smart one, and then there's the &* (rhymes with blow). Well, I'm not saying which one that was, but I can tell that this show was modeling itself after the fluff classic. She Spies is so campy at times it seemed like a live action cartoon. I really do think this show had potential , but it didn't take itself seriously enough.
This show was highly underappreciated. I know that from the very first airing. She Spies never took itself seriously and I think that is why most of the viewing audience could not appreciate it for what it was, a spoof. Xena, La Femme Nikita, Buffy, Alias, any show with a female lead as action hero was its target. Maybe it was a little before its time, perhaps it would have made a good movie something in the vain of the Scary Movie franchise. This show had everything from the over the top tech ops, to the big guns, to bad guys with fake accents and retarded plans, even the fact that the lackies always come after you one at a time and no matter how many shots were fired no one could aim. I loved this show but, I knew it would be cancelled soon after it began. So, I thank Dee Dee, Cassie, and Shane for the memories. Download this show, the laughs are worth the wait.
Honestly, I think She Spies is a great show, even though it does have some aspect of Charlie\'s Angels. I love D.D\'s quirky attitude, Shane\'s kiss-ass mindset but I love the chemistry between Cassie and Mr Cross. Although, he doesn\'t do much about it. Personally I think that it is cute that Mr Cross has a secret interest 4 her although I wish that they would go out or something which will then lead to promblems with creative differences.Something like that.
This show is so bad. I was happy when it stop coming on. It was somewhat good when it first came on, but when Jack left, it became a piece of ....... crap, sinceI can't say the word I wanna say.And this would never happen in real life, the convicts would probably help out the bad guys. Then, the leader got on my last damn nerves. Most of the episodes I wanted her to get killed.
Most probably you didn't watch it. The first impression you got was that it was Baywatch but with more clothing.
But not, it was much more funny and sometimes completly bizarre (but again, maybe you don't like bizarre as much as I do).
Incredible looking women, crazy as hell stories and the knowledge that perhaps "I shouldn't be watching this" made it a mixture of Guilty Pleasure and a Must See.
I loved She Spies, and I loved Mr. Cross hidden intrest for Cassie. It would have been nice if this program continued and let Mr. Cross and Cassie get married and the conflicts that would develope because of this union. Shane was great. I loved her and I loved Dee Dee. I will miss you all. And oh yes, Duncan, I love you I love you all and will miss you.
Why was this syndicated show always played in such a horrendous time slot? I was always annoyed by that, since it was actually a well-written farce. You could tell that the writers and the actors had such a good time making fun of themselves and the premise of this show. Every episode made me laugh. The storylines were never very original, but the one-liners and jokes told you full well that that was the intention. I will miss you, She Spies. I hope you make it to DVD.
This show I never thought I would like. But then on Sunday's I started watching re runs of it on NBC and it was actually a really great show. This show I knew wouldn't last very long but I think that it should have stayed around for at least one or two more seasons. I personally like Shane and DD the best. I think that Cassie is just way too uptight. The guy who is their boss I think just has to go, I don't like him what so ever. I think you have to see this show at least two or three times before you make a decision about it.
i really liked the first season of she spies, it had humor, action, and beutiful wommens, but when the show lost jck wild i think the show is more boring for each time i watch it, why didnt jack wild record the last seasons?????????
if sombody know can that person wright wy to me..
This has go to be one of the most terrible shows I have ever seen. I am sad that this show was so bad because I am a huge fan of the spy genre (James Bond, Mission Impossible, The Saint, Charlies Angels, Alias) but this show was seriously lousy. It was filled with horrible dialog, weak action, and terrible actors/actresses. There was nothing about this show that feels natural, everything seems forced.
The next time you are laying around the house on a Saturday bored do not check out She Spies. Instead you should play a game of strip solitare. That would be way more entertaining.
i love when woman r strong we girls need to stick together!!!! its werid cause these girls didnt like each other at first but than became the best of friends!!!! sometimes u notice in the show somethings r fake and u can tell they r acting with no feelings abd really bad but other than that its a really great show!!!
A show that tried to capitalize on the popularity of the Charlie's Angels movie, but ends up only consisting of sex appeal and bad acting. My only question is: Why watch this when there are so many better shows on TV at the same time?
A show that tried to capitalize on the popularity of the Charlie's Angels movie, but ends up only consisting of sex appeal and bad acting. The writers are horrible as well. Do you remember the corny line Halle Berry says in the latest James Bond movie...when she says "yo mama". It was a totally unnecessary use of dialogue that reduced the seriousness of the scen to a joke. Well, this show is filled with lines like that, and in fact has used that same exact line. The plots of each episode are redundant and really have nothing spectacular to draw viewers in. The action is like a B rated TV show (which this is). I could go on for days listing the faults of this show, but I won't. Anyway, it's just not worth the time.
My final review: Good looking girls and sex appeal do not always make a show a winner, especially if the show is all around bad, as in the case with this one.
Girl power combined with ass kicking, a good sense of humour and really bad guys… My friends consider me crazy watching this show, but I absolutely love it. I just have to prove that my friends are in saint NOT watching She Spies.
She Spies may not be as enchanted as Charmed or as nervously exciting as Alias, but it is still enough action in the show to satisfy me. I love the way the lines are delivered during fights, clever and right in the perfect moment.
Sometimes the show may seem a little childish, but you just have to see the irony and the thought behind the show and you will understand its wonder.
I must admit that the women of She Spies do things I wish I could do: walk on walls, kiss and walk out, pretend to be someone else… I guess She Spies is representing my secret, imaginary dream life, where I’m invincible, good-looking and a real fighter.
I cannot understand why all of my friends refuses to watch She Spies, or perhaps the show is also theirs “Guilty pleasure”.
I just can´t lie! I love She Spies, so what? I think it´s good show. It´s goofy, silly, and in my opinion, extremely funny. It´s almost surreal, because the types there, the characters, are completely nuts. They do/say som many weird things, that it makes you think: Who the hell thought of that? They make those jokes, like, talking to the audience, it´s so different from all I´ve seen.
It´s not a show for everyone. It was a show for me, because, I´ve always liked shows about three girls kicking asses (Charmed, Charlie´s Angels)...And I like the goofy, silly sense of humour.
Yeah, that´s pretty much it. If it was still on, I´d say: Give it a chance. As it is not, there´s nothing much I can do!!! If they would only bring it back!!!
Sometimes I ask myself why I watch some shows, then I have the answer like 2 seconds later. They are addictive. So was this show. Just wondered why the switched boss in season 2. Not that it really mattered, the show was really god any way. The humor made it good, and funny for that matter, and the show didn't become all dark and so.
G-zuz Kraist! She Spies try too hard. It all boils down to an actionserie without action, a comedy that isnt funny with a self-ironic script that just gets teedious. But at least the girls are pretty, oink oink.
Alias is a popular serie with Jennifer Garner starring as the hardhitting main character Sydney Bristow. So I guess Metro Goldwyn Mayer decided to multiply by three.
The three girls gone bad are fronted by Natasha Henstridge, which we all know as a skilled actor. The other two are, ehh, not-so-known names. Though D.D. Cummings is a funny and recognisable name.
Together these three girls fight crime as undercover spy/agent/infiltrators(do I hear the Charlies Angels theme?). Yes, it does remind me vaguely about Charlies Angels. Thats probably why the series has adopted an ironic undertone that I guess is supposed to be funny(but it really isnt). An example is when the She Spies meet three actors on a film set playing three undercover female agents.
I watched it without changing channel and I guess thats good. But I didnt laugh, I swear.
This show is sometimes silly, but all in all, it's a good show. I only get to watch it on Saturday nights at 12 midnight but I always stay up for it. It's your basic spy show with great twist and alot of heart! Give it a try.
