This episode shows all the wonderful elements of this series. The show is filmed in black and white. It has good lightening and makes artists’ use of the media. The show is written in the jungle and this episode has many beautiful wild animal sequences interplayed in the story line. You would expect that since the show is based on comic book characters that it would be over acted and trite; this is not the case. Though Sheena and Bob are heroes in all sense of the word, they are played both compassionate and strong. Sheena use of telegraphic speech patterns to denote that English is her second language is not overdone or childlike. Sheena is played as a strong female hero, intelligent, physical capable and feminine. This plot is simple, direct, and well written. You know that the heros will win over the evil in the end. You know that the bad men will find justice. You do not expect but find out that in this episode, is that bad is not pure evil. Even one of the "bad" guys is enlisted into helping Bob and Sheena escape. He though is disease understands that what he has done is wrong. You would expect because of the time period and type of show that it would be corny; you will find it refreshing.moreless
