Shelter From the Storm: A Concert For the Gulf Coast is a one-hour primetime special to benefit those whose lives have been greatly impacted by Hurricane Katrina. The special will be simulcast, commercial-free, on all six major broadcast networks, as well as other programming providers throughout the world. Some of the celebrities slated to appear are Sheryl Crow, Alicia Keys, Dixie Chicks, Paul Simon, Jennifer Anniston, Ellen DeGeneres, Jack Nicholson, Chris Rock, and Ray Romano. The benefit concert will be broadcast live from the Sony Pictures Studio Lot in Los Angeles and Sony Studios in New York City to the Eastern and Central time zones with a tape delayed broadcast in the Mountain and Pacific zones. In addition to the six major networks – ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The WB, and UPN, the concert will also be carried live to the United States on ABC Family, Black Family Channel, Bravo, E!, Fox Reality, FSN Ohio, FSN South, FSN West, FX, G4 Media, Ovation, Oxygen, PAX, PBS, SOAPnet, TBS, Tennis Channel, Trio, TV Guide Channel, TV One, USA Network, WGN, AmericanLife TV, CNBC, Court TV, Fox Movie Channel, FUEL TV, Fox College Sports Pacific, GSN, Lifetime, MSNBC, Showtime, SPEED Channel, Style Network and many Infinity Radio stations. The special will be broadcast in at least 95 countries internationally on programming services in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and virtually all of Asia and the Middle East.moreless
