Show Summary

This reality competition series debuted in January of 2000 on Channel 4, in the UK. The show lasted for three series running until 2002, since then the Shipwrecked brand has returned in 2006 with a new format Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands. The first series showed a group of 16 British young people stranded on the Cook Islands who had to learn how to survive. The second series which began in January 2001, took a group of 17 British youths and stranded them this time on a uninhabited island called Nuku in the South Pacific. It was with this series that the small mini-series Shipwrecked: Extra. The third series broadcast through November of 2001 to December, also known as Shipwrecked International, saw a group of youngsters from around the world stranded in Fiji. This series also featured now reality tv star Jeff Brazier as a contestant.
