  • Great show with lots of background info about catastrophic events

Great show with lots of background info about catastrophic events and plus great interviews with the people that was there, a great one hour show that shows us the true potential of Murphy's law, "Anything that can go wrong, WILL go wrong" emphasis on the WILL, thanks to it's one hour duration, it can hold on to about six events in a single show. I give my congratulations to the History channel for having a good show nowadays, when almost every show on the prime time are bad, adding to the great shows are/were Automaniac, American Eats, Modern Marvels, Dogfights, Mail Call, Shootout!, UFO Files, The Universe, Wild West Tech, Evolve, Jurassic Fight Clubmoreless
  • It is ALL on Shockwave!

I don't understand why this is rated below an 8. Maybe not many people know about it. But either way, this show is awesome! It brings me to exciting, catastrophic events I've never heard of and uses "groundbreaking CGI to reveal the anatomy of the disaster" (from the introduction). All on Shockwave, you can know how these heartstopping moments really happened and meet the people who survived it. My favorite so far is the Killdozer in Granby, Colorado when Marvin Heemeyer armors a bulldozer and goes on a rampage. Obviosuly I wouldn't want to be caught in a disaster and I do feel sorry for those affected, but the anatomy is just so awesome! If you are curious of the devastating things that happen every day, watch Shockwave. You might learn something. 10/10 all the way.moreless

  • A decent show about devestating events.

    7.1
Shockwave is a show that collects different videos of catastropic events and tells the stories behind them. Some examples are various natural disastors that have occured and also events cause by people. I have seen a lot of these clips before this show, so some of them are nothing new, but getting the story behind them can be interesting. Each show has around 3 different stories, each with witnesses and people involved. The only thing I don't really like about the show is how they present the story. It is always the same way, they show the clip talk about how no one could survive it, show interviews then later say that someone survived and they show the interview with that person. After a few episodes it became repetitive and I was only watching the clips that I found the most interesting. It is a good show to watch, but I won't be is a rush to watch each episode.moreless
