      • Jesse Bradford (on working with director Clint Eastwood): I saw this happen twice - once with an actor and once with a crew member. I think it was the first AD came up to him and said you know "So, Boss, what're you thinking after this, we gonna do that two-shot or should we get the wide thing from the top", you know, thinking too far in advance and Clint, I heard him say this at least twice, he goes "We've come this far, let's not ruin it by thinking?"

      • George Miller (talking about Mel Gibson): The first "Mad Max" he was 21, he was a baby out of drama school doing Shakespeare. And you know he'd do his, like everyone in those days, do his drugs and drinking. I've seen him angry at his family, his friends. I've seen him angry at me. I've seen him angry at his church (yet) he's always been devout. And most of all I've seen him angry at himself.
Peter Bart: You once described him as a tortured Catholic.
George Miller: He is a classic tortured Catholic. I think he's a good man who thinks he's a bad man. But I also, I think he's one of the sweetest people I've ever met and he's incredibly kind, his generosity. So thats the paradox and I think that paradox, to be honest, is what gives a lot of these actors charisma. I think the charisma needs that paradox.
        Peter Bart: Tension.
        George Miller: Tension, yeah.
