Shopworn

Show Summary

Shopworn is a 1932 film directed by Nick Grinde. The protagonist, Kitty Lane (Barbara Stanwyck) works grueling hours as a waitress; she meets and immediately falls in love with David Livingston (Regis Toomey), a wealthy college student from a venerable family. Their relationship so scandalizes Helen (Clara Blandick), David's mother, that she frames Kitty for a petty crime. The waitress spends three months in prison, but finds lucrative work in the entertainment industry after her sentence ends, endearing herself to the Livingstons and obtaining their blessing for her wedding to David..
