  • This is a fantastic historical anime with some brilliant fight scenes.

    9.0
The plot follows three different generations of the Mutsu family as they travel Japan and play their parts in the history of their country. What makes the Mutsu so important is that they are the masters of a secret and deadly form of unarmed combat known as the Mutsu Enmei-Ryu.

This is a really brilliant historical anime and unlike most other animes of the genre it is not filled with inaccurate history or fantastically superpowered enemies, it is in short exactly what it says 'on the tin'

The characters are really great and it actually works really well having three different main characters and three different story arcs. All in all this is one of my all time favourite shows.moreless
