Silent Please, also known as Silent Show, was a half hour comedy show
starring Ernie Kovacs as the host. The aim of the show was to profile
the entertainment potential of color television. After his opening
monologue, Kovacs remains silent for the rest of the show, and the show
follows the bumbling antics of a speechless character named Eugene
(Ernie Kovacs). Eugene makes a few messes, slapstick style, and manages
to annoy most of the other characters. The show won a Sylvania Award.
