The big news this week is the release of two fan faves: the shiver-inducing first season of Supernatural and the long-awaited second season of Lost. But we also have a little British flavor in the mix this week with two collections of the classic sci-fi series Doctor Who and the off-beat humor of Red Dwarf. The hits keep coming with the inaugural season's part two of Commander In Chief, season six of Oz, and The Abbott and Costello Show: 100th Anniversary Collection, while our younger users will appreciate the release of season two of Fraggle Rock, Goosebumps and the complete sixth season of The Flintstones.

Caroll O'Connor starred as Archie Bunker, the grouchy bigot who was really a softy inside. As the series unfolded, Archie learned a thing or two about people who are different and how his thinking may have been wrong. Fortunately, for the viewer, the poignancy was always undercut with a vicious joke at someone's expense. Many sitcoms could learn a lesson from All in the Family's distaste for maudlin antics (Raymond, anyone?).

A lot happens in season five: inflation causes Edith to get a job; The Jeffersons move to their deluxe apartment in the sky; and Meathead ...

During this show 3 pairs of detectives - one after the other - makes life very insecure for many criminals in Palm Beach.

The show originally aired on CBS as part of their late night after prime time viewing with a few other shows. I believe that was for all of season 1 and 2 then was picked up by USA.

There were 3 sets of stars through out the series, but the first 4 to 5 years was story of Rita and Chris. Then there was the bad recasting for a season or less. Then we got Cassie and Tom. There were two very stable sets of the partners.moreless
