The time has come for Sargeant Chris Lorenzo's funeral service. Though offered a very big promotion weeks before by Lipschitz, Rita cannot bear to stay in the same job without Chris. The episode (and era) ends with Rita bidding a tearful farewell to Lipschitz at Chris' gravesite. She walks away and the following week is the official beginning of a new era with new detectives.moreless
