A wife hires the Simons to get evidence for a divorce, but her husband is kidnapped, which leads them into uncovering a business scam. Not only do the Simons get paid for this job, they receive a special citation from the mayor. Not the most scintillating episode, but we do get some good character moments, including Rick as the Will-Kill exterminator.

Continuities/discontinuities between this episode and the on-going series:

Rick expresses his distaste for working divorce cases, which we hear about again and again throughout the series.

    Back story revelations:

In his younger days, AJ hung with a group of surfers.

    Miscellaneous points:

There were two callbacks to the episode "Love, Rick volunteered to get the ding on the Chevy fixed by taking it to Manuel, and the television advertisement near the end was by Joey Marcotte Imports. (Isn't Joey Marcotte in jail after the Simons exposed his involvement in a car theft ring?)

    Kona: Surfers unite, man!

Rick: Surf is up. IQs are down.
