Sin City Law is a documentary TV series airing on the Sundance Channel that takes a close look at all sides of the Las Vegas criminal justice system. The show depicts the law world in a starkly realistic fashion that doesn't conform to the usual storylines presented in fictional legal dramas. The show focuses on the accussed, the public defenders and the prosecution to give a complete sense of the goings on in a trial without a sense of heightening from the director, as the show lacks any narration that might be a source of bias. The show is notable for featuring interviews with the prosecutors and public defenders to give extra insight into their motivations and feelings during a trial. The personalities of the lawyers is on display in full, both positive traits and flaws. The show is created by a group of French filmmakers including producer Denis Poncet and director Jean-Xavier De Lestrade, who also created the 2001 Academy Award winning documentary “Murder on a Sunday Morning.â€moreless
