Sirota's Court

Show Summary

This show was a mid-season replacement for NBC in 1976 when they rolled out a slew of new comedies, including "CPO Sharkey. The show is basically the exact template later used by NBC for Night Court. It dealt with night arraignment court and starred Michael Constantine as Judge Sirota. The other characters were the womanizing DA played by Fred Willard, the pretty public defender, a wise-cracking court clerk (although a female in this case who occasionally dates the Judge) and the not too bright bailiff, played by Owen Bush. The show ran in the spring only and was not renewed.
