      • Wataru: (about Karen; thinking) In retrospect, she was the first sister I met when I came to this island. I'll never forget how she saved me when I almost drowned. She helped ease the anxiety I felt right after I arrived on Promised Island. She's very good at the piano. And she's cute, too.

      • Wataru: (thinking) Aria is...quite a puzzling girl. It is as if time somehow only passes slowly around her. Before I lived on the island, I always lived my life at a fast, frantic pace. Maybe that's the reason why it feels as if time passes by so slowly whenever I'm with Aria.

      • Wataru: (thinking) Chikage is a very mysterious girl. I wonder what she does when she's alone in her room? She's up there a lot. I've seen her reading tarot cards many times. She always seems like she's reading my fortune. But, I'm kind of afraid to hear the results.

      • Wataru: (thinking) It seems like Rinrin is continually building something around the clock. There have been all sorts of inventions. Sometimes she fails, but it's always interesting, that's for sure. She didn't even sleep because she wanted to work her hardest to make new things for me...and all of us...to use.

      • Wataru: (thinking) Kaho. She's always trying her best to encourage me in everything I do. When I think about it, I realize no one ever cheered for me at all until I came to this island. I never knew how nice it would be to have someone on my side who's rooting for me. But Kaho has taught me that. Thanks, Kaho.

      • Wataru: (thinking) Unlike me, Mamoru's very good at sports. She's always full of spirit, and she shares that spirit with me without even knowing about it. I couldn't swim before I came here. But thanks to Mamoru, I learned how. Thank you, Mamoru.

      • Wataru: (about Yotsuba; thinking) She's always in a really good mood. Sometimes she causes a little trouble, but...it's hard to get angry with her, for some reason.

      • Wataru: (thinking) Haruka. She's good at so many things like tea ceremony and martial arts. It's true...she seems like a more traditional Japanese girl than any of the others. And she helps me out in so many ways. Thank you, Haruka. I can always count on you.

      • Wataru: (thinking) Micháel is always by Marié's side. They seem like really good friends. Whenever I see Marié being happy, it somehow makes me feel happy, too. Let's take a walk together on a sandy beach again some day.

      • Wataru: (thinking) Shirayuki looks cute in an apron. And it's amazing that she already has a wide cooking repertoire. I'm sure she'll keep cooking all kinds of amazing dishes for us. Thank you for always cooking such delicious foods, Shirayuki.

      • Wataru: (thinking) Hinako is so small, and she's always cheerful. One moment she's darting around all over the place...and the next she's crying...or laughing. I remember that I laughed out loud unintentionally one time when I saw her acting like that. (chuckles) I didn't mean anything by it. I'm sorry, Hina.

      • Wataru: (about Sakuya; thinking) I'll never forgot how she picked out clothes for me the very first time we met. She seems so grown-up in some respects. Sometimes she makes my heart skip a beat. But lately, those feelings haven't been troubling me quite as much. I guess that's because sometimes she has a surprisingly childish side...or acts mischieviously. I've noticed that. All in all, there are a lot of good things about her.
