  • I hate when friends blow you off!

    9.7
Tia and Tamera are planning a party. After inviting all their guests, they're all excited when it comes time to party. Unfortunately, their friends call them up with some silly excuses to get out of going to the party like being grounded, sick, or having bad hair. To be honest, I think their friends were just trying to blow them off. Well, Ray and Lisa hated seeing the twins hurt, so they picked up some kids to bring to the party. Tia and Tamera are embarrassed about it at first, but then they realise that this is a party they're having. They realise how much fun it it. Then, they're even happier when their friends come to their senses and show up.

See, I don't like when a friend invites someone to a party, and that someone tries to get out of going by making up a silly excuse. That's just inconsiderate. Their friend was nice enough to invite them to a party, and they blew them off. I love when they come to their senses though. LOL!moreless
  • Par-TAY!

    10
Tia and Tamera want to throw a party! When no one shows up, they are really sad. They don't invite Roger. Lisa and Ray try to cheer them up and go out looking for people. Steve, Tia and Tamera's boss, comes along with his friends and Roger comes with his friends too! At first, Tia and Tamera are embarrassed, but then they end up having a good time. Then the popular people start coming, but they threaten to leave once they see the nerdy people. Tia and Tamera don't care.

This episode was great! I like how they can either have fun and let loose or be paranoid about their social status. I loved Roger's singing! This episode gets a 10!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • When Ray is singing "E-I-E-I-O", he finds it weird that he said "coaster, coaster", but you're supposed to repeat the last word. So there's nothing weird about it.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Lisa: (Referring to the party) Ray, this is bad. This is bad. (Referring to the slice of pizza in her hand) This is good.

    • [No one has arrived at the party]
Lisa: Oh, girls, it's only 7:30. You know no body comes to a party until 8:30. (Scene transition) You know no one comes to a party until 9:30.

      [D.J. is playing rap music]
Ray: Yo, yo, yo, that's gotta go.
D.J.: Hey, cuz, if you ain't down with that and you can't get down with the rap community, then let me tell you a little something right now. (Takes off hat and sunglasses and puts on a clip-on tie) I could always do a little Lionel Richie.

    • Alison: I can't come cause I'm grounded. It's so unfair. My mom thinks I was mouthing off to her.
      Alison's Mother: Alison.
Alison: Shut up mother and get out of my face.

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Ray: There are a million reasons people could be late. Rush hour traffic, they got lost, Urkel's on.
      Tamera: Dad, c'mon...
Ray: Hey, Urkel's 32 years old, and he's still funny!

Steven Quincy "Steve" Urkel is the goofy, nasally voiced main character of the ABC show Family Matters.
