I liked a lot of the interactions in this episode and I think this show has certainly started off on the right foot as far as there character devolpment goes. The Carlos-Mar storyline seems to be the most interesting as one would expect with her mysterious past that we do not yet know much about. I thought Carlos's murder case was a little random drama that wasn't needed, but every episode has to have a little filler part to it. Whitney and Lauras characters are interesting, with both of them struggling right now. Laura is dealing with her hhusbands death as Whitney tries to have a husband and work at the same time. Stevens storyline is something Im interested in too, just not a whole lot right now. Im sure by next episode his storyline will pick up. Damians storyline seems to be strictly filler right now. Not a whole lot going on with him that I like right now.moreless

    • Whitney: I don't want to plan the wedding. Roy: (surprised) You don't? Whitney: No, the headaches, the countless details, let's just get married. I was thinking the 30th. Roy: Of? Whitney: This month. A nice simple ceremony at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. It'll be nice. We can plan it over lunch. Roy: Huh, wow, that's, really soon! Edit
    • Whitney: Another thing, you could stand to be a bit more effusive about it, it's something very serious. Steven: I am serious! Whitney: Not today, you must've had a sense of humor at some point. Steven: In 1994, I told a joke. People seemed to enjoy it. Whitney: You know what it is? It's your tone. You need to watch that, it makes you sound like you know better. Steven: How could I when you know best? (Whitney glares) Steven: I thought the objective was humor! Edit
    • Laura: Ross, I did not go to Art Center, Pasadena, but I have been through a great deal in my life, and for the last 8 years I have been a stay at home mom, so I am well-versed in how to deal with a petulant child. The fate of your furniture rests in my hands. You want it back? It's simple. Introduce me to JT, and get an intern to do your crap work. Ross: (smugly) Meet JT. (Points to JT, who's sitting in the room.) Edit
