Goof: Sid's leaves for New York on RyanAir, but RyanAir doesn't fly to the United States. Even if it was only to get to a major hub such as Heathrow or Gatwick, any flight from those airports would land at one of the three major New York City airports -- none of which are served by MetroNorth Railroad, which is the only railroad into New York's Grand Central Terminal. Most likely he would landed at either Newark Liberty or John F. Kennedy airport, and would have ended up at New York's Pennsylvania Station, which is far less impressive in appearance, which is no doubt why they chose to film his arrival at Grand Central instead.
However, there are buses on 42 street and Park Avenue, just across the street from the main entrance to Grand Central that bring people to and from the airports (Laguardia and JFK). And in order to travel by subway you must enter Grand Central Station. While Sid did not need to go that far into Grand Central it is very plausible that he was there.
Michelle first met Chris at the zoo when she was 7.
This is the first time we meet Chris's dad. Previously we had only heard his voice.
Sid's address is:
3 Epress Avenue,
Beshampton,
Bristol,
BS3 1HE.
Goof: When Tony and Sid return the coffin to the car, you can see through the window that they left the boot open but in the next frame we see the boot closed.
Jal: (on being taken to the zoo by Michelle) Why are we here? Special treat? Take my mind off things? Because I'm not 10 and I don't like animals!
Michelle: No, we're not here to take your mind off it.
(Michelle and Jal sit down at the aquarium)
Michelle: This is where I first met Chris.
Jal: Yeah?
Michelle:Yeah, I was 7. His mum got talking to mine, and he was this funny little kid with his hands down his pants doing impressions of the fish. I don't know if he thought he could talk to them or... I'm not saying forget about him because you can't and you shouldn't. He was special. I just think... f*** it!
Jal: What?
Michelle: Like Chris, he said f*** it, I'll do it my way and the people that love me will understand why I'm doing it because they love me... f*** it! Come on you don't think he'd say exactly that if he was standing here?
Jal: He'd probably be too busy talking b******s about the fish.
Michelle: F*** it for Chris!
Jal: Ok, f*** it for Chris.
(Chris's dad has said his friends can't come to the funeral)
Tony: Look, its fine, we'll have our own funeral.
Sid: Yeah great, a funeral with no coffin and then we'll sit around singing Kumbay-f*****g-ya!
Tony: So let's steal it.
Sid: What?
Tony: Lets steal the coffin.
Sid: What?
Tony: We're gonna steal Chris's funeral. (gets up and walks away)
(Chris' dad comes to visit Sid)
Chris' Dad: I've come about the funeral.
Sid: Right...
Chris' Dad: Yeah, see the thing is I've got a lot of relatives coming to this funeral, Sid. Some from as far away as Basingstoke.
Sid Basingstoke.
Chris' Dad: They remember Chris as a kind, gentle, fun loving boy and I'd like to maintain this image and I think the best way of maintaining that image is you not coming.
Sid: What?
Chris' Dad:I don't want you at the funeral, any of you... friends.
Sid: We um, we won't spoil anything I mean Chris, he was a totally fun loving guy and...
Chris' Dad: Don't tell me what my son was! Ok? I know what he was and I know what you are, the junkie friends who brought him down with you. I am his father. Its my sons funeral you will respect my wishes is that clear?
Sid: Crystal...
(Chris is being buried and all his friends are watching)
Jal: I've been thinking about what Chris would have wanted me to say today, the advice he'd give me, which would be something like "Know what babe, f*** it, these guys know all about me, tell them about someone different". So I thought I'd say something about a hero of Chris's, a man called captain Joe Catinga. In 1960 he climbing into a foil balloon, Captain joe ascended 32 kilometres into the stratosphere and then, armed only with a parachute he jumped out. He fell for 4 minutes and 36 seconds reaching 714 miles per hour before opening his parachute 5 kilometres above the earth. It had never been done before and has never been done since. He did it just because he could, and that's why Chris loved him- because the thing about Chris was, he said yes. He said yes to everything. He loved everyone. He was the bravest boy, man I knew and that was... He slung himself out of a foil balloon every day, because he could, because he was. And thats why... and thats why.. we loved him
