  • One of the few good TV dramas about politics,

    9.0
An unfortunatly forgotten show, which has never been rerun, at least in this country. I am basing this review on the two episodes I have been able to find. Richard Crenna was excellent as James Slattery, Minority leader in the state legislature of an unnamed state, perhaps loosely inspired by Arizona or New Mexico.( The pilot was filmed in the California State Capitol building, on the day Kennedy was shot.)

I showed the two episodes I was able to find to my political science class, and the students all thought they were "very good". I found the show thoughtful, literate and well acted.( No wonder it was canceled.) I certainly wish more episodes were more readily available. ( incidentally, the fac that this only hasan overall rating of "fair" is ludicrous.)
