Jonathan Rhys-Davies (Arturo) famously criticized the tornado episode because the tornados were, he said, upside down, which defies the laws of physics. But I just watched that episode, and they were NOT upside down. What am I missing?

The only time I watched that episode was back in the late 90s. Perhaps there's a scene where the tornados weren't put in correctly by the visual effects artists?

Nope. They all looked like tornados to me. Hmm.

I don't remember any upside downing.

But wasn't the whole point that the valley had some strange polarity so things were reversed? In which case the tornado really COULD have been upside down!!

I believe he was talking about how tornadoes start at the ground and go up, while in the episode the tornadoes kinda 'landed' on the area they were at from the sky.

Either way it works in the episode, as the reverse polarity could be reversing the tornados.
