      • Harriet: Hi-eee!
Jamie: Better not come in Harriet. My dad's got a cold and ya might catch something.
Harriet: Good, maybe I'll catch you! Oooohhhh, what's this, writing me a love letter?
Jamie: If you must know I have to write a melodrama for class.
Harriet: A melodrama? Well, I can be a big help. I was in a melodrama once. I played the beautiful heroine.
Jamie: They picked you for the beautiful heroine?
Harriet: Yes. I was the prettiest. I was the best actress and I was the only one who could fit into the costume.
Jamie: Figures. What was the melodrama about?
Harriet: Well, a villain with a big mustache and a black cape ties me to a railroad track.
Jamie: I love it so far!
Harriet: And then a big train comes right for me. Chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga. Toot, toot! And then just in the nick of time, I'm saved by a handsome hero who is madly in love with me and we get married and live happily ever after! Drives ya crazy with jealousy, doesn't it?
Jamie: I'm goin' to have to live with it Harriet. But in the meantime, you've given me a great idea for a melodrama. Wanna help me with it?
        Harriet: Sure, how?
Jamie: Stand right...right there. (Moves Harriet to the front of the back door) Now say this with feeling, "This is good-bye forever!".
Harriet: (In a dramatic style) This is good-bye forever!
Jamie: Works for me. (Closes the door on Harriet)
