Apparently, the reports of Smallville's death have been greatly exaggerated. Popular belief had the long-running Superman drama flying off into the sunset at the end of this season, its eighth, but now it seems there's a rallying cry to move forward.

Chloe? Tess? Jimmy? Two of these characters may die--and stay dead--before the season ends, says online report.

Death is coming for a pair of Smallville characters

The population of Smallville is about to be two fewer. That's the report from EW.com, which is citing a source close to the production of the show who says two characters from the CW science-fiction drama will be killed off later this season. Yikes! So who are the two unlucky stiffs?

My Top 10 Smallville Episodes (Seasons 1-5)
This community has been dead for a while, naturally, but I thought why not jump onto my Top 10 Episodes for some sweet reminiscing! We all need it sometimes and I really need a Smallville fix right now. This is where the magic happened at CW before it got super-usual. This show is that rare instance where you saw it on TV and you knew you where watching the tale of a superheroes origin, or if you're Barney you will be referring to Lex's origin.

This is the one show that I have never faltered to like (surprising, I know) and most likely never will! I need to warn everybody first that my favorite seasons are 6 and 9, so my taste is more of the darker.. One thing I cannot complain about on Smallville are the season finales so you can almost guarantee they will be making ...Read more

My Top 10 Smallville Episodes (Seasons 6-10)
Continuing the "Top 10," I started a while back, I will be going over my favorite episodes from seasons 6 to 10. I'd like to point out that season 6 and 9 where my favorites but I felt like it was mainly the overall arc that was attractive to me as a viewer. With that said let's get on with it.

*Spoilers will consistently appear here so don't read unless you haven't seen this great show before!*

10. Bizarro (Season 7, Episode 1)

With a shockingly great start to season 7, I was quite disappointed when I eventually ended up at the last episode. Where did it all go wrong? This episode had everything that Smallville consistently provided us with; twists, strong villain, heroic moments and comedic ones at that (Bizarro and Lois in the manor)!

Through the comic lore, Bizarro has always fascinated me with ...Read more

Site says Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum may only be on board for Smallville's eighth season as guests.

Report: Lana, Lex leaving Smallville

When Kristin Kreuk began playing Lana Lang on the drama Smallville, she was 18 years old. Now in her prime at 25, the actress is apparently looking to branch out and make the transition to superstardom.

According to the snoops over at TVGuide.com, Kreuk is asking to not be back as a regular for Smallville's recently announced eighth season. The report states that both Kreuk and Michael Rosenbaum (who plays young Lex Luthor on the show) have essentially given notice that when the show goes back into production for what is likely its final season, they don't want to return as stars, but wouldn't mind dropping in for a few episodes.

Both Kreuk and Rosenbaum are two of four actors to be regulars since the show's inception (Allison Mack and Tom Welling being the others), and losing half of the show's core could be ...

Rumor: Chloe next to leave Smallville?

It's a little too early to call the CW's Smallville the Titanic, but there are definitely some icebergs on the horizon, and those lifeboats are looking awfully comfortable.

The show is currently in its seventh season and has been renewed for an eighth, but next season will look a lot different. The latest crew member rumored to be on the way out is Allison Mack, the fan favorite who plays Chloe Sullivan.

A recent rash of defections from the show has Mack thinking she should do the same, unless producers make staying worth her while, according to TVGuide.com, which cited "inside sources."

"[Smallville producers] need Chloe now more than ever--and Allison's people know it," the source told TVGuide.com. Mack's people are allegedly in negotiations to sign her for next season, and the actress has a ton of leverage on her side.

Smallville producers need ...

"It is time for us to move on," say Al Gough and Miles Millar; duo will be done effective at the end of the season.

Smallville creators are splitsville

The Smallville universe is certainly living up to its name a little better with each passing month. In early March, reports surfaced that Smallville mainstays Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk, who play Lex Luthor and Lana Lang, respectively, were intending to downsize their roles on the show and begin their post-Smallville careers.

Both actors have reportedly worked out deals to spend less time on the show next season, appearing in a fraction of the episodes they typically act in. This happens to coincide with what is almost certainly Smallville's final season--its eighth.

While the loss of Lex and Lana would seem to be a deathblow for the drama about young Superman, things got even a bit worse yesterday. The creative duo who started the show, Al Gough and Miles Millar, announced that they are leaving Smallville at the conclusion of this season.

The news came via an open ...

Smallville tells the tale of a teenage Clark Kent in the days before he was Superman. It is the town where he came from where very strange things started happening with his arrival in a spaceship in the midst of a meteor storm of green rocks. Clark must deal with a variety of individuals given powers by the green rocks, keep his powers a secret, cope with his friendship with a young Lex Luthor, and balance the two girls in his life, Chloe and Lana. The show also shows us how Lex Luthor develops from a friend of Clark's and kinda-okay guy to (presumably) the villain who will plague Superman in his later years.moreless
