Chloe's life is threatened when Clark and Lana each make an attempt to kill her. However, when neither of them can remember what happened during the attacks, they discover that the two were hypnotized through e-mail messages. Meanwhile, Lana gets closer to Adam.

Clark: You went to Lionel because I pushed you away. Seems to be one of my hidden talents lately.
Chloe: It's not so hidden. -
Dr. Garner: Lex, you're a smart man. You know that the line has to be bent now and then in order to make progress.

The Grinch is an unpleasant grouch who hates the holidays, and resolves to steal Christmas. When he steals all of the holiday presents and food but almost loses them over a cliff, his heart "grows three that day" with love and he finds the strength to save them.
