With the introduction in the episode "Freak" that Chloes has possible latent abilities from the meteor, is it possible that the writers will make Chloe Sullivan into the new Wonder Woman?!?

After all, Chloe is Clark's best friend, similar to the role that Wonder Woman plays as best friend and confidant to Superman in the comic books.

Also, Chloe Sullivan's role in Clark Kent's future life as Superman has yet to be explained, while Lois, Lana, and Lex are all established major players in Clark Kent's future.  It seems odd that we've yet to explain the future of Ms. Chloe Sullivan in the adult Clark Kent's life.  Barring any future tragedies on the show with the death of Chloe, the writers will have to explain how she fits into Clark's future life as Superman.

Wonder Woman's character in both the comics and TV shows is up in the air, not fully established, and is open to change.  There is also a new Wonder Woman movie coming up that is an opportunity to completely revamp the character for the future.  What the writers of Smallville do could play a part in that.

    Other clues:

    1. Like other posters have mentioned, there was a previous episode in which Chloe Sullivan got the temporary meteor power to have people tell her the truth.  In the comics, Wonder Woman, is the supposed living embodiment of truth and uses her lasso to compel people to tell her the truth.

    2.  Lynda Carter (actress who played Wonder Woman in the TV series) will be guest starring in upcoming episodes of Smallville as Chloe's mother!!  It would be appropriate if the character was passed down from the actress who is best associated with the role.  I'm sure the writers at least have considered this possibility.

    3. Recently in the comics a Wonder Girl has been successfully portrayed as a young regular teenage blonde girl named Cassie Sandsmark with courage and spunk, who was granted the powers of Wonder Woman from Zeus.  The writers may have drawn inspiration from this character as well, to similarly make Chloe into a new Wonder Woman or Wonder girl character.  As we've seen with the introduction of Bart as Impulse rather than starting with Wally West as the Flash, the Smallville writers have a history of placing younger, current superheroes into their storylines.  Chloe could become Wonder Girl, who eventually becomes Wonder Woman.

Of course there are obvious problems, as Chloe has always been a grounded normal figure for Clark to rely on, and trademark problems with the Wonder Woman name, and the more likely scenario of Chloe dying in some future season finale, and Clark being spurred by this tragedy to really dedicate himself to become a full-time superhero (in fact if the writers went with the comic storyline, after Chloe's death, Clark could begin traveling the world to learn more about himself and the world at large, which would segue nicely into the current comic and movie series timeline in the life of Superman.)

    What do you all think?

That won't happen. If I remember correctly, there's a lawsuit against this.

No to rain on your parade, but in many interviews Al and Miles have said that Wonder Woman and Batman will never appear on the show.

I think a lot of characters have different hair colors, it could just be a Smallville version.

I don't think they would change her (WW) hair color. Somethings are best left alone, you know what I mean. Now if they had said Donna Troy, now you're talking. Black hair and younger than WW!

Edit, I just remembered, we are talking about Chloe here, so scratch that Donna Troy thing

Chloe could dye her hair... (It's unlikely that she will be Wonder Woman, but her having black hair is possible).

if she is wonder girl that means she could hold down the fort in smallville while clark is training in the FOS. that would be a great last scene for the season .

Chloe: Go on Clark, start your training, its your destiny, and besides i can hold down the fort in samllville.

Now granted that they have established their own continuity and thrown everything else out the window but this idea would be the stupidest thing ever to happen on smallville and come on lets face it...there has been plenty of stupid stuff on smallville.

Wonder Woman (Mom or Diana), Wondergirl (Donna or Cassie), Batman (Bruce or Terry), Robin (Dick, Jason, Tim, or Stephanie), Batgirl (Barbra or Cassandra)...I could go on and on but I think I could sum it up in one by saying ALL Batman and Wonder Woman related characters will NOT be on Smallville. I don't know why it is hard for people to get that threw their heads.

JK was something they were going to do anyway, it was a matter of time for it. Being that they kind of follwed the movies and the Birthright storyline some what. As far as any WW on smallville, it's not going to happen. As long as that movie is still going to happen, we won't see her or wonder girl, and thats both of them.
