I agree. For a series that spanned 10 years, some good some bad, I wanted to see a more epic ending. I was very disappointed when Clark fought Darkseid and it was just DS inhabiting Lionel's body. I wanted an Omega beam or two. Also, wasn't it way too soon to be bringing up the anti-life equation? If I remember correctly, it took DS many years and many encounters to discover it. I know they are trying to tie in all the canon that they could, but it was just too much. For being such a major enemy, I thought that the DS storyline was MEH. I thought that CW could have spent some more money on a series that was one of their flagships for 10 years. On the Chloe reading to the boy. They did not show Ollie and Chloe together. Chloe and Ollie could have had the marriage annulled or something due to the filing of the marriage license. They discussed that all they needed was a ML in the church. The boy is somehow a GA companion, due to the shot of the arrows. He could be Chloe and Olliver's son from the time that they were "married". Or they could have gotten divorced by then. Chloe could also just be a babysitter. (doubtful, but possible)
Anyway, I did like the Jonathan Kent scenes. I always thought that John Schneider did a great job as Pa Kent. The flight was great. The suit was blah. the planet pushing was cheesy, but an homage to the silver era when Supes could do something like that, but I agree with others who said that it was cheesy. Overall I give the show an 8/10 for an episode, but 7/10 for a series finale.
