Despite attacking Lex, being tortured by Lex's bodyguard and then being rescued by Clark (who leaves Lex and his bodyguard unconscious), Pete has no problem visiting Chloe at the Daily Planet (which Lex owns) at the end of the episode.
Right before Pete talks to the DJ, you can see the Technics SL-1200 turntable on the left is missing its phono cartridge (needle).
When Pete sees the speaker fall on Kara, he doesn't run toward her, he simply stands there and reaches for her without moving his legs. This doesn't gibe with normal human instincts, and wouldn't have done anything unless he knew he could stretch.
Despite the fact that Jimmy is a photographer and does a lot of photo-taking even when off-duty, when he's at the warehouse the first time he doesn't have a camera and takes a picture of Kara and Pete with his cell phone.
Whenever Pete uses his power, his clothing stretches. Kryptonite doesn't mutate clothing.
Chloe acts as if she's totally unaware of the fact that Lex owns her computer, and every computer at the Daily Planet. The law gives no protection to employees' computer files. Further, she should know not to leave her personal files on computers owned by the Luthors, since the last time that happened back in high school, they took the computer.
Trivia: The official date of the first meteor shower was October 7, 1989.
When Clark goes to the factory he gets weakened by unseen Kryptonite. He then goes toward the source of it. Ignoring the flaw that as he got closer it seemed to affect him less, the intelligent thing to do would've been to back away and use his x-ray vision to see where it was.
When Pete puts the bit of gum in his mouth at the end of the episode he says to Chloe "Relax, it's Kryptonite Free." As he says this he is standing right in front of Jimmy and none of them seem bothered about his use of the word "Kryptonite." In the season three episode "Asylum" Pete made a point of saying "I have to remember to say 'meteor rock' instead of 'Kryptonite'", so obviously he has slipped up here. Jimmy clearly heard him say it as he smiles at the joke.
firstname.lastname@example.org and http://www.dailyplanetmail.com/server/sullivan_chloe/inbox/newmessage were shown in this episode. Her e-mail address seems valid (no returned e-mail after 30 minutes it was sent) and dailyplanetmail.com is owned by Warner Bros that redirects to http://thewb.warnerbros.com/.
Jimmy: Some secrets are better off kept.
Pete: I mean, I had to leave my life behind because of you, Clark. And to be honest, it feels better than living in your shadow.
Jimmy: (about Pete) Well, he is gonna be an overnight superstar. I just got off the phone. He's the first meteor... uh...biologically enhanced individual... who's willing to be interviewed about his powers.
Pete: Maybe it's time for everyone to realize that a real hero doesn't hide in the shadows.
Lex: Now I gather you're trying to impress Chloe by erasing any evidence of her extracurricular projects. I guess things never change.
Pete: You're living proof of that.
Lex: You're starting to try my patience, Pete.
Pete: Then bring it on, because the truth isn't going to change.
Pete: (to Clark) I guess the best part about knowing your secret is… being able to say thank you.
Chloe: Unauthorized surveillance is totally unethical.
Lex: Pretty big words from a cub reporter. Shouldn't you be using them to write stories?
Chloe: Good idea. I think "office espionage" has a nice ring to it.

Pete Ross's powers resemble those used by Clark's other sidekick, Jimmy Olsen, in the comics. Jimmy, infamous for having just about every super power at some time or another, some times had the ability to stretch like Pete here. He went by the name Elastic Lad and was a reserve member of the Legion of Superheroes.
Sam Jones III is billed as Special Guest Star.
Stride Gum, the gum that gives Pete his powers, is plugged in this episode.
Erica Durance is credited but doesn't appear.
Music: Stop and Stare, Mercy & Apologize (OneRepublic)
Chloe: Is this the Barry Bonds Pete or the Hank Aaron Pete?
Referencing two baseball players who had record-breaking careers. Barry Bonds allegedly used steroids to enhance his abilities; whereas Hank Aaron did not.
Jimmy: It looks like Gumby found his Pokey.
Gumby is the stop-animation star of his own television series, created by Art Clokey. A green plastic humanoid figure, his pet horse is the red clay Pokey. Not currently in production as this episode premiered, Gumby has been referenced in dozens of other shows.
Chloe: And since the Go Go Gadget Arms has been going public with his abilities...
Chloe refers to Pete's stretching powers referencing the 80's cartoon Inspector Gadget, about a bumbling crime fighter who has several mechanical body parts, one of which allows him to stretch his arms by shouting "Go Go Gadget Arms!"
