  • TRIVIA (1)

    • You can see the scene in which T.J. is discussing Puritans with Mr. Delk was shot more than once, as the word "Puritans" is written on the chalkboard differently in-between takes.

  • QUOTES (11)

    • (Mo and Marcus come limping down the stairs)
Marcus: So how's your back, man?
Mo: Not so good. This damp weather makes it act up. How about you?
Marcus: I should have your back. Man, I woke up this morning, turned to the left, had a white flash in my eye.
Mo: You can turn to the left?

    • Mo: If you were wrong about this whole Declaration thing, maybe you were wrong about my midterm.
Mr. Delk: Trust me, Mr. Tibbs, the medieval saxtons did not invent saxophones.

    • Mo: I was thinking maybe we could kick it tonight. By the way, I'm not "it."
Dana: Gee Mo, you seem real nice and all, but I just couldn't go out with a guy I made cry.

    • Marcus: So who's cuter? The girl with the chokehold or the one that maced you?
      Mo: Mace girl.
      Marcus:Yeah, she is fine.
Mo:You know when she slammed my head into the wall, I felt a definite emotional connection.
TJ: Every day I fear puberty more and more.

    • Marcus: How come you signed his slip but you tore mine up?
Floyd: He was in pursuit of a higher education and the full history. You are in pursuit of a hat that makes you look like a banana.

    • T.J.: You've got to come back to the classroom, it's turning into Lord of the Flies in there, they're breaking up the desks to make fire wood.

    • (going in for a parent/teacher conference)
TJ: uh, Dad? You can't wear a hat in that class.
(Floyd tugs his baseball cap on tighter)
      LATER
(Floyd comes out with no hat)

    • Mo: That's alot better than your idea to dress up as girls
Marcus: Hey, it's not like I went there and bought a pair of sling-backs now.
      Mackey: Sling-backs?
Marcus: Yeah, yeah. They're like mules, except they have little straps at the back. Real cute in the summer. (TJ and Mackey stare) I have a sister.
Mo: I have a mama, but you don't see me talking about pumps.

    • Mackey: Yeah! Everybody's invited to my house for a big 2nd of August Party!

    • Marcus: Once T.J. gets goin', there's no stoppin' him!
Mo(reprimanding his friend): Pencils down, eyes closed!

    • (After Marcus and Mo's dates leave)
      Floyd: Who were they?
      Marcus: Our dates!
Floyd: In my day, we actually went out with our dates.
