I've been watching, observing, and analyzing "Smash" week after week to see if this would be something I would commit to and this episode kind of did it for me. I felt like this episode defined Smash in many ways. Instead of a show about "Marylin, The Musical," we got to see a show about humanly flawed, yet interesting characters.

I feel like Smash is shooting for something big for the finale, you can really see all the tension building with all the different approaches and story lines. Seemingly unimportant side characters have been coming to the forefront to indicate, "Yes I am important, and will probably be relevant in the finale." This was a very good thing, it helps the episode be eventful and less of a filler.

Even though, yes, this show has it's flaws but right now, it's at a very enjoyable point with all these messy entanglements within the group. What I really love is that this show isn't just about "friends hanging out". This seems like the vibe that every other drama shoots for. This one has a streak of originality with the complex story lines and interesting ethical issues that we haven't really explored before in other series.

Overall, a solid defining moment of Smash for me. Sure, things can still go South, but right now, I'm enjoying it.moreless
    • Holy crap indeed

This show gets worse and worse, with Touch Me as absolute nadir. Can't understand why this got renewed. Trite, dull and more often than not a total dud on the musical and choreographical front (as in - the directing completely ruins the choreography).

I so wanted to like this show but they're doing everything to make me hate it more each week.
