Show Summary

The Buster Brown TV Show & His Buster Brown Gang! is a 1950 TV series for children telecast on NBC every Saturday night. It was hosted by Ed McConnell who portrayed many memorable characters in the show like Grandie the Piano, Squeeky The Mouse, and Froggy the Gremlin. Jerry Marin played Buster Brown, a boy who resides in a shoe. The show was based on Mc Connell's famous radio program and is said to have spiked shoe sales at that time. Later called Smilin' Ed McConnell and His Gang, it was taped in Hollywood infront of a studio audience composed of kids.
