The rug-cutting shall go on! In a move that surprised no one, Fox yesterday announced that it has ordered a fifth season of its hit show So You Think You Can Dance.
The order comes a tad early, as the show is currently in its fourth edition. The two-part, four-hour season finale will air this Wednesday and Thursday night at 8 p.m.
The show is basically a "you got served"-athon, with contestants attempting to out-dance each other before a panel of judges. Cat Deely serves as host, and Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy are judges.
That Fox, home of American Idol, picked up the Simon Cowell-produced Dance is no shock. According to the reality-soaked network, So You Think You Can Dance was one of the summer's top five shows and was number one in both its Wednesday and Thursday time slots.
