It is so interesting how the first half of this show goes, meaning how the judges get to choose who to take out of the game.

You can see them manipulating the ending ten to be ones that had fantastic dances so that they can use them in the tour they do at the end; after the show is all over. And one might think that this is the goal of a competition show, to have the ones with fantastic dances move foreward, but to be honest, how is it that they have an even balance of "types" of dancers, always one hip hop girl, always one hip hop boy, contemporary, ballroom...every season since they started the tour (season 2 forward) it has been this way...and why is it that they also make it so it is the top five girls and top five boys instead of the top ten dancers.

In this episode, they are deciding who not to take on the tour, and they ended up keeping Jessica, and I honestly think they did because of this one dance she performed with Will. It was amazing, and "had to be" on the tour...Comfort is the better dancer between the two, as displayed over the season...it was much like this when Hawk was let go last season just before the tour cut-off...but they took him anyway because of how popular he was...

Anyway, I found this, and most of the first five ejection shows of all the seasons brutally predictable. Thank goodness it is going to America's vote from now on...it seems to be more honest.moreless

It was very sade to see Thayne go since he was a magnificent dancer. It was expected for him to be the guy that would be going home because the judges (besides mia michaels) didn't seem to like him as much as the other guys. It was also inevitable that comfort would be the girl going home because she has not grown as a dancer and does not seem to be able to conect with her parter when she is dancing. I am sad to see Thayne gone and i sure will miss him. The performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre was absolutely stunning! They were just amazing dancers! The performance by Katie Perry was good for people that like her but it seemed like she was lip-synching some parts of the song. Overall i liked this episode but it pains me to see one of my favorite dancers, Thayne, leave.moreless
