  • Some good choreography and beautiful dancing . . . but a little disappointing.

    8.5
Though I liked the pieces by Mia Michaels and Sonya, the rest were either just okay (the jive routine) or kind of awful (the cheerleading routine). I think the choreographers were trying new, slightly risky ideas that just didn't end up working. That said, Jeanine was the best performer of the night, with Brandon in second, but in my opinion, the best performer of the overall season was Kayla, which is why, in the end, I voted for her. However, if any of these three dancers win, I will be happy, because it's such a close race between them and they're all so deserving. I know Evan has a decent fan-base, however, if Evan wins, I think it will be because Nigel was so terribly condescending to him that he ended up giving Evan the sympathy vote. I hope this does not happen because he just isn't as good overall as his three competitors, as evidenced by his painful performance in the "Dirty Boys" routine. So awful! I will give Evan props for putting up with the judges' cutting remarks (some of which were way harsh) and for being good at what he does, but he's just not as well-rounded as the other dancers.

My picks in order of preference:

    1). Kayla

    2). Jeanine

    3). Brandon

    4). Evanmoreless

    • Adam Shankman: (referring to Jeanine and Kayla's routine where they shed layers of clothes throughout the piece) That was like watching the world's longest wardrobe malfunction.

    • Nigel Lythgoe: (to Tyce Diorio) Well done. You're the only choreographer I know named after a cookie.
      Cat Deeley: And equally delicious.
