At the beginning of the episode, the audience votes from last week are revealed with Melissa and Artem cut from the competition. At that point, the competition continues in the same format as last week, the females pick their partner, the males pick two dance styles.
Each pair will dance twice, each time to a different style, but this week they go back to the format where they hear from the judges after each dance. This week, Mia, Nigel, Mary and Dan are the judges.
The first pair of dancers is Kamilah and Jamile. They dance in hip-hop style to "Toma." The reviews from the judges were not glowing, but they weren't horrible either. Next, Ashle and Blake dance the smooth waltz to "Rilassamento." The mixed reviews they received from the judges caused an argument to break out. Melody draws Nick's name, and he draws Broadway. They dance to "All That Jazz." The judges absolutely love it!
This week, they dance the second time in the same order, leaving Kamilah and Jamile to dance again as the first couple. They danced American Jive to "Jump Jive'an Wail." The judges said that it really wasn't great. Next, Ashle and Blake danced the Argentine Tango to "Santa Maria." The judges weren't impressed with the feeling, except Dan. He again conflicted with other judges. Melody and Nick drew disco style for their second dance, and they danced to "Knock on Wood." The judges loved their performance, again.
In round 2 there is a twist. No couples are put up for elimination. All 6 dancers danced as individuals to compete for a spot in the final 4.
Kamilah danced to "Maniac." Jamile danced to "Atomic Dog," Ashle danced to "I Like It Like That," Blake danced to "Body Language," Melody danced to "Brave and Crazy," and Nick danced to "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face." Following Nick's dance, voting was opened to the audience.
