We're down to the top six dancers, three guys and three girls: Benji, Ivan, and Travis, Heidi, Natalie, and Donyelle. I don't want to see any of them go, really, and the results show for this is going to be tough... I think that no matter who goes, they're all going to end up crying.
Travis was with Heidi and they danced a waltz and Afro-pop. The waltz was nice, and the Afro-pop was great, very different. The judges all had great things to say about this couple; Nigel said they were the best couple of the evening and Mary and Mia both said Heidi was the most improved girl.
Ivan was with Natalie, and they danced a contemporary piece that I thought was quite nice, but the judges were really critical of Ivan, saying that it really showed his lack of training in that style. I honestly can't remember what the other dance was...!
Benji was with Donyelle, and they did Broadway and Hip Hop. If ever there was any question about whether the dance styles are rigged, I think this answered it - they got their two best styles. However, the dances themselves were good, but not really outstanding, I thought. The judges praised Benji but told Donyelle she needs to give more.
Choosing a guy to leave is going to be hard. It's either going to be Travis or Ivan, I'd say, because it seems that Benji's fanbase it way too strong. As for the girls, well, after her solo, Donyelle looked like she'd already lost, and that alone could be the deciding factor. She looked really unhappy. Natalie was fairly strong, and the judges all praised Heidi... so we'll have to wait for the results and see.moreless
