    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • This episode opens with an exterior stock shot of the Tates' house, but the first scene takes place at the Campbells'.

      • The swath of paint that Danny paints on Burt's windbreaker is higher, then lower in some shots.

      • As Mary and Danny paint the nursery, Mary reminisces about the messes Jodie and Danny used to make "on these walls." But in Episode 9, we learned that the Campbells' house is fairly new. Burt built it for Mary and her husband, Johnny, shortly before Burt killed Johnny and married Mary.

Comment: It could be an expression and not aimed at those particular walls.

    • QUOTES (2)

      • Jodie: (to Carol's boyfriend, who is dressed in full cowboy gear) I don't think I'd get so snitty if I were you. After all, we do shop in the same stores.

      • Gloria: I find someone better.
Chester: Better? What do you mean by "better"?
Gloria: Better-dressed, better-looking, better in bed. Better.
        Chester: Better-dressed?

    • NOTES (2)

      • In the scene where the minister daughter's dumps Chester, he is watching The Price is Right. The narrator for Soap, Rod Roddy, would go on to be the announcer for The Price is right from 1986 until his death in 2003.

      • The last episode we see Colleen Riley as Gloria, the minister's daughter.
