  • Notes

    • The end credits for the entire fourth season were shown statically, instead of scrolling like the previous three seasons.

    • This episode starts with a teaser recapping the previous episode: after this installment, the program begins with the titles and then goes directly into the story.

    • This was originally an hour long episode that was divided into two episodes for syndication.

    • A week before this episode aired, ABC ran a ninety-minute third-season "Soap" retrospective, which guest-starred Beatrice Arthur (Maude, The Golden Girls) as an angel Jessica meets in Heaven. This episode does not turn up in reruns but is available for purchase on VHS.
