Sober House is part of VH1's Celebrity Rehab series, and each season of Sober House continues to follow the celebrities whose substance abuse problems were initially addressed in Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. Having completed their rehab treatment at the Pasadena Recovery Center, the celebrities are brought to the Sober House, a substance-free living area meant to ease the transition back into society without threat of relapse. Dr. Drew Pinsky continues to contribute his expertise as an addiction specialist, and Jennifer Gimenez takes on the role of House Manager. Each celebrity is followed by a camera crew who have been instructed not to interfere with the resident, but to notify the producers if they witness unsafe behavior. Celebrities who have lived in the Sober House include Seth Binzer, Rodney King, Andy Dick, Dennis Rodman, and Tom Sizemore. Sober House is a tense and honest portrayal of both human vulnerability and durability, chronicling each shaky step on the path to sobriety.
