  • Could you slow down a little bit, please?

While almost nothing happened in the first part of the "Metarex base" bilogy, too much happens here, especially at the end. It's almost an under-the-gun-paced episode.

However, it is better than the previous show. More interesting aspects are inserted, including additional informations on the planet eggs and we learn that there are four Metarex commanders (three at the end) apart from Dark Oak. This could mean trouble for the rest of the season and the stuff to provide good episodes are absolulety there. Another good point: Chris' utility couldn't be questioned from now on. The main proof is here: he is able to steal Chaos Emerald under Eggman's nose all by himself and to flee from the Egg Carrier right after.

The Sonic-Shadow fight was a much-waited confrontation and it cannot deceive the fans.

A much lesser brilliant point: Knuckles still is treated as a punching bag and it's much insulting for such a guy with strong potential. The supreme offence here: everybody in the Blue Typhoon seems to know how to pilot a plane...except Knuckles. Why is it necessary to highlight it?

As I previously said, the end is very fast-paced. The discovery of the big gravity field is too much quick and its activation is too. In addition to that, the Sonic-Shadow battle happens just above. In fact, at the end, everything happens at the same time or so. The gravity field's discovery, Sonic & Shadow transformation into Super Sonic & Super Shadow, their battle, the destruction of the Metarex base, the loss of the Chaos Emeralds, the destruction of the Metarex fleet and the spectacular escape of the Egg Carrier and the Blue Typhoon. All that occurs in about six minutes...

It is so fast that Sonic doesn't have the time to react to the loss of the Emeralds.

Whew, is it possible to slow down?moreless
  • Clash of the Hedgehogs!

This episode had a lot of action, Super Sonic and Super Shadow clash in an actioned packed fight for the first time in this season. But now, all the Chaos Emeralds are lost again. I really liked this episode, although I think that they should have kept the battle of Super Sonic and Super Shadow for later, since you don't see this 2 hedgehogs in their super forms fighting for survival in every episode. Aside of that, there is really not much more to tell. Just the guys talking in the Blue Typhoon about other stuff and Knuckels trying to take keep up.moreless
