This show is quickly becoming my third favorite sitcom after The Office and My Name is Earl. What makes it unique are the realistic dysfunctional familiy situations that play out and the improvised nature of the dialogue. This isn't so much a show where you identify or sympathize with the characters as much as it is one that invites you to laugh at the absurdity of their situations. Last night's episode featured Don's community theater debut, attended by the entire family who watch his character die in the first few minutes of the play; Mom extorting favors from her children as compensation for loans; and Whitey's brief career as an auto parts salesman. The scene stealer, though, is Henry, looking the part of a youthful (and, for this episode, constipated) version of Jon Lovitz.
