I believe that the Sons of Anarchy will be the next Sopranos-type show. If the writer keep writing great storylines and the actors stay, Sons of Anarchy will be a bloody great show. WHAT DO YOU THINK? And why

honestly. i think SOA is better then the sopranos in all aspects. the the show has a much darker feel. interesting characters. it's not just a shoot shoot bang bang boring stuff that the sopranos were prone to doing. it gets old after awhile. but SOA. the characters have deph/intriguing scenes and s/l's. makes for a really entertaining gruesome drama show. overall. it has potential of staying around for a very long time.

I was thinking the same thing. Well, actualy I was thinking about how much better the show could have been had it been on HBO. Come to think of it, isn't there a thread talking about that fact? Looks like I've got some searching to do. I do think though, that this should could be even better than Sopranos. In which case it wouldn't be the 'next' Sopranos so much as the 'first' Sons of Anarchy

I couldn't agree more. I like this show much better then I did The Sopranos.

Well, let's see. Clay murders Jax father and marries his mother, Jax is second in command, he's getting messages from beyond the grave in his dad's writings and he's got a thing for a beautiful but mentally fragile woman.

It's not the new Sopranos. It's the new Hamlet.

Sons of Anarchy is the closest thing that I've seen to The Sopranos. Great show...

I am totally hooked on Sons of Anarchy! I think the storylines are fantastic and the acting is superb! I love the entire cast! I hope the writers continue to come up with interesting storylines. I would love to see this series have a long run!

Sons of Anarchy is the closest thing on TV right now to The Sopranos.

Its no sopranos- far from it.
As for the closest show to sopranos as the mo- is Madmen.

SOA is a good show- but its needs to be a lot more grittier, contain more explicitness.

Overall its entertaining but would I want to be stuck on a desert with SOA or a copy of the Sopranos?
    Sopranos all the way.

it's close to Mad Men in terms of directing, themes, etc. But Sons of Anarchy is the closest thing to The Sopranos in terms of mob-related activity.

The Black Donnellys could've been the next Sopranos. Sons of Anarchy isn't good enough to be. (It's a great show, but it could never be as good as TBD or the Sopranos)

As a Sopranos fan, I would have to say it has the possibility. But in my mind The Sopranos is Numero Uno.

I love this show and think it has great potential and I was pissed when they canceled The Black Donnelly's. That show was going to be very good I thought.

Its a modern retelling of hamlet in a 1%er MC club.....so who really cares if it is the new sopranos. Imo it has the potential to be something really special and memorable and thats all i care about

No, The Black Donnelly's could've been, but this won't. (Don't get me wrong, it's a great show!)
