Sooty & Co

Show Summary

Welcome to the Sooty & Co guide at TV.com I can say with great admiration that Sooty & Co was one of the greatest kids shows ever! It had everything that the original series had, and much more! The camper-van was a great addition to the series, and the show ran for an enjoyable 6 years. It was a shame to see dear Matthew Corbett retire as, for me, he was the 'grown-up' of kids TV, and was the star of the show! I needed to make sure his hard work was recognized. Cast your mind back to the last ever The Sooty Show and fought it was sad to see a series that has lasted so long was about to end. And then missing it. We were all sad but we have the second Sooty Series called 'Sooty & Co' Theme Song: Mathew singing. Hey ho its Sooty & co Everybody say Hello!!!(children: Hello!!!) There's Sooty & Sweep a panda called Soo Little cusion Scampi too Its sooty & com-pany Sooty & com-pany. About this series well Matthew helps Sooty, Sweep, Soo and Scampi to move into their new home. A second hand Junk Shop called 'Sooty & Co' where they sell everything, buy everything but never actually sell anything to a customer. This gives Sooty & Co its charm, even know it got politically correct, it improve on the Original Sooty Show when may wasn't to sure it can. But when you think about it many people wasn't sure Matthew could take over his father Harry and not fail and many people doubt Richard could take over Matthew's Job and not fail but he is doing a great job and lives up to the name Sooty. How you can forget the great customer to Sooty & Co. Mo from the Market became much love from this series. Mo run a Fruit Stall in the local market and stops by at Sooty's Shop because its just around the corner from the market and just to come in and have a nice chat, talk about her day and everything else apart from buying everything from the shop. If she ever had a last name we will never know and if she will ever buy everything from the shop we will never know. I hope Mo can find Sooty Heights so we can see her again as we do miss her. Its good to see Rod, Jane & Freddy in this series for the old sing-a-long. Harry Hill with his Puppet Cat and Matthew saying its only a puppet its not real. Matthew Kelly coming in to do Supermarket Sweep (because Sweep is in the title) and that they could get Dale Walton to come in so they got the next best thing. Neil from Art Attack coming in to make stuff for the Christmas Show, Sooty & Co put on. A great addition to this series was the Sooty Camper Van that Matthew made in his work-shop for the Sooty Show with a special episode (the third episode in the first series) to bring in the Camper Van. And I may say its nice Sooty our childhood hero now has a van to travel about in, Batman has his batmobile and Sooty has his camper van. Its perfect addition to the episodes for Sooty & Co, From when they go to Scotland to find Sooty's past to the Cake Bombs from the Joke Shop that they had to get rid of to Sweep trying to drive the Sooty Camper Van. A great addition to the Sooty & Co series. And at the last series Richard and shortly after Liana join Sooty & Co as extra helpers to shop but as we were to find out later on this series that they were to take over Matthew as he was leaving Sooty. There wasn't a newspaper TV column in the country that didn't forget Matthew's last ever Sooty Show and all said 'This would be a sad day for TV, A end of a era, everyone should watch this' and with that, Sooty & Co's last ever episode was so popular it reach into ITV Top 10 rating Shows of that week. Something that CITV will never see happening again. As if you can agree Matthew was the 'grown up' of kids TV and him retire was a great loss to Children's Television. No one should forget the hard work he put into Sooty and everyone make sure his work is recognized. But he didn't leave without saying those famous words that Matthew, his dad Harry and Sooty say 'Bye, Bye, Everybody Bye, Bye'. • This is a all time classic. Very Fresh today and you can't believe the episodes are over 10 years old.
