The Annual DZO Date Party is coming up in just a few days and the girls are prepping for the big event. Most everyone is psyched and ready to cross the border to Canada where they’ll dance the night away in their semi-formal best--but Brooke is still date-less. At first, she didn’t think it was important to have a date, but now she’s having second thoughts. She calls up her ex-boyfriend, Sean, but he can’t make it. Julia wants to set her up with a single friend, but Brooke turns her down. Nicole is also worried that Tim won’t be able to come to the party because of his pledging responsibilities over at Sigma Chi Omega. Mackenzie, who is sick of the whole Tim situation, tries to hook Nicole up with an eligible, single buddy named Mike. Nicole and Mike share some alone-time in the hot tub (alone if you don’t count some of the pledges and Mike’s friends spying on them from the house.) And Mike is definitely digging him some Nicole. He tries to make his romantic move with a hand-on-the-foot maneuver under the water. But Nicole is so deep in her Tim love-bubble that poor, unsmooth-but-nice Mike never had a shot. He tells her she could do better than Tim, but she’s not buying it. Later, when Tim calls to say he can still go to the Date Party. Nicole is thrilled. Tim is nervous about going though because he (correctly) thinks all other girls in the house hate his guts. Nicole assures him that everyone who matters to her likes him (a-hem, right). Tim is not so easily convinced, though, and to up his comfort level a notch, a plan is hatched to get Brooke to invite Tim’s fraternity brother Jarreau to the party. A double-date is arranged so Brooke can hang with Jarreau and decide if she wants to ask him to the party. Jarreau talks about hot chicks in the bar. Brooke seems pretty disinterested in the whole situation. Afterwards, Tim and Nicole pressure Brooke to call Jarreau and invite him. Tim turns up the charm and tells Brooke that she is “a confusing girl who doesn’t like guys at all.” Brooke is annoyed with the whole situation and decides not to call Jarreau. Maggie isn’t bringing a date either, so the two single ladies decide to go “stag” together. Finally the big night finally arrives. After a group outing to the hairdresser for up-dos, and a brief scare where Tim is 20 minutes late, they all head north of the border for the big bash. Most of the girls give Tim the cold shoulder, but he confides in Brooke that this is the big night--Nicole will finally be getting that long-awaited kiss. Brooke makes him pinky swear it. Then Tim makes his move and asks Nicole to go for a walk. Under the moonlight at the end of a long pier, he whispers “Close you eyes, I have a surprise for you.” Then he plants one on her. She swoons. They kiss some more. Eventually Nicole returns to the party and ecstatically tells her friends about the kiss. She says it was “the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me” and that it was “worth waiting for." Everyone is happy for her--and for themselves--since, as Mackenzie puts it: “It’s done” and they don’t have to hear Nicole complain about it anymore.moreless
